Departmental Laboratories

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has the following well-equipped laboratories :

# Basic Electronics Lab

This lab offers basic experiments of analog and digital electronics. The Lab is equipped with

  • CROs from 10MHz to 50 MHz.

  • Function Generators

  • Trainer Kits for performing experiments on digital and analog circuits.

The lab has a well qualified supporting staff.

# Communication Engineering Lab

Communication Lab of the department has following sections.

  • Analog Communication

  • Digital Communication

  • Microwave And Optical Communication

  • Telematics Lab

  • Wireless & Mobile Communications

This lab has been modernised under MHRD funded project on Telematics and modernization of communication lab. About 50 experiments on the basic and advanced communication engineering in analog, digital, microwave and optical communications are carried out for undergraduate students of III and IV year of Electronics and Computer Sc.& Engineering. This lab also offers facilities to the M.E. students to carry out their thesis work.

This Lab has following equipments/trainers.

  • CROs : Ranging from 20 MHz. to 100 MHz.

  • Lab volt complete kit for digital and analog communication.

  • Various kits and discrete components for performing experiments on analog and digital communication

  • ISDN trainer kit.

  • Bench Mark Optical Communication Kit

  • Microwave Bench

  • IC Tester

  • Microprocessor Kits.

  • Spectrum Analyser

  • High Frequency Oscilloscope

  • High Frquency Radio Freq. Generator

The lab also has following facilities for computation

  • 10 No. of Pentium PCs

  • MATLab Software

  • Electronic Workbench Software

  • ICAP4 Simulation software package

All these computing machines are networked through the college backbone network and have the access over the internet.

# Computer Architecture Laboratory

The Computer Architecture Lab of the department is fully air-conditioned with 10 No. of Pentium PCs and with different type of Packages and Software's.

The lab is offering experiments for final year and pre-final year students of the department. The lab also provides the facility for carrying out the ME Thesis.

# Digital Systems Laboratory

Digital System Lab. is one of the well equipped advanced electronic lab. with following basic and advanced equipments.

  • CROs

  • Function Generators

  • Digital IC Testers

  • Microprocessor Trainer kits and different interfacing components

  • Micro Controller Trainer Kits.

In this lab the students of B.E. third year of Electronics and Computer Sc. & Engg. perform their experiments on Microprocessors, assembly language and interface related experiments, final year of B.E. Electronics and Computer Sc. & Engg. perform the experiments with digital hardware design using discrete components on breadboards. M.E. students are using the lab for experiments related with Digital Systems. Besides all these final year students do their projects and the M.E. students do their thesis work in the Lab.

# PCB Laboratory

Printed Circuit Board Lab. is equipped with basic PCB design package like  Protel. Students of B.E. III year electronics learn the design and fabrication of PCB through this lab.

Besides this as a part of advanced learning and for industrial consultancies there is a section of PCB lab in  the department. This Section is equipped with PCB prototype machine LPKF 93S along with softwares.

# Project Laboratory

Project Lab. of the department provides basic facilities in terms of components and other equipments for performing B.E. project.

# VLSI Lab.

The Lab has been developed by the funding from MHRD Govt. of India, the lab has

  • 10 No. of computers.

  • Active HDL/Verilog Complete set.

  • FPGA Kits.

  • PCB Design Software.

# Signal Processing Lab.

This  Lab is  having various signal processing kits along with the softwares for performing experiments in

  • Digital signal Processing.

  • analog signal Processing.

  • Image Processing.
