Notice for Summer Training in VLSI & Related Software

Academic Session 2009-10

(7^th June 2010- 9^th July 2010)

The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering proposes to start a paid certificate summer training programme on VLSI and related software for undergraduate students of 2^nd & 3^rd year, Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science disciplines. The step has been taken keeping in view the response the department got during last summer to learn VLSI & related tools. The VLSI Lab of the department is a state of art lab with industry standard tools. As a part of the SMDP-II project the endeavor for now is, to be a lead institution and to act as a guide, so that the other institutions in the proximity get advantage of the expertise and work with the facilities available with us.

The course will be organized from 7^th-June 2010 to 9^th –July 2010. The course is  mainly focussed on B.Tech students only. One month course will have 6 hours a day and all the participants will be required to devote full-time.

The course is primarily for local/neighboring students. However limited accommodation may be arranged for few students coming from distance/other states on first cum first serve basis.

 (1) Eligibility: B.Tech (Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical Engineering or similar discipline) Second Year and Third Year Students of any UGC/ AICTE recognized University/ Institute/ College.

(2) Scope: The Course will cover Device & Circuit Concepts in VLSI Design with related VLSI Softwares and Hardwares.( Topic wise details will be given separately)

(3) Fees: Course Fees is Rupees Six Thousand only for Non MNNIT Students. Course Fees for MNNIT Students may be subsidized. This fees is non refundable and is to be paid through Demand Draft favoring the “Director, MNNIT Allahabad”.

(4) Duration: This is a 4 week Program (5 days a week and 6 hours a day). The course will tentatively start on 7^th June 2010.The intake for the course is 70.

(5) Application Procedure: Application form and information brochure will be available from 30.4.2010 to 21.05.2010 on the website http://www.mnnit.ac.in. The applicants are required to download the application form and send the duly filled form to the Head of the Electronics & Comm. Engg. Department, MNNIT Allahabad – 211004, Uttar Pradesh along with the Application Fee on or before 25.05.2010.
