HOW TO REACH

Allahabad city is situated in the north part of India in the Oudh region of state of Uttar Pradesh. It is well connected with flights, rail and road transport to other parts of India. Daily trains, buses and flights are available from major cities in India.

Allahabad By Air
Allahabad has its own domestic airport named Bamrauli airport which is 15 km away from the heart of the city. Airport is connected to metros like Delhi, Kolkata and Lucknow. Airport to city MNNIT charge is about Rs 600. Abroad travelers need to get connection flights from Delhi or Kolkata.

Allahabad By Bus
Very good road services are available in Allahabad. UPSRTC buses give service to most of the cities in Uttar Pradesh. From Allahabad bus services are available to Delhi (650 km) and Kolkata (800 km).

First you can reach Hanuman Mandir by rickshaw and then you can take sharing auto (fare about Rs 15/-) or take auto (fare about Rs 80/-) for MNNIT.


Allahabad By Train

Allahabad has a major railway station in the heart of the city and is well connected to all the important cities in India

Popular name of MNNIT is Motilal Nehru Engineering College. It is in the locality called Teliyarganj. For reaching MNNIT from Allahabad Junction you have following options. You can take an auto (fare about Rs150/-) and ask the driver to take you Motilal Nehru Engineering College guest house (Executive Development Centre ). It is in the MNNIT Staff colony, which is in front of Railway crossing. You will also find taxis outside the railway station (Fare about Rs 300/-). There are also some buses from Allahabad Railway Station Teliyarganj and Govindpur and to passing through MNNIT (fare about Rs 20/-). This is cheaper but not so comfortable and more time consuming option. Sharing auto (fare about Rs 20/-) are also available outside the railway station. Auto passes through MNNIT gate. Get down at the Ganga gate of MNNIT and take rickshaw or cross through MNNIT to reach guest house (About 1 Km)





About the city
The city is a primary center for culture, religion and education. The confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers defines this city. Many national and regional headquarters of administration, military and research facilities are located in the city.
