𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱 The five-day Refresher Course on “Project Planning, Design and Maintenance of Storm Water Drainage Systems” commenced today at the Department of Civil Engineering, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj. The programme is being organized from June 15–19, 2026 under the PHE Sector Development Scheme of the Central Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organisation (CPHEEO), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Seelam Sai Teja, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Prayagraj, as the Chief Guest. The programme was presided over by Prof. K. Umamaheshwar Rao, Director, MNNIT Allahabad. In his presidential address, Prof. K. Umamaheshwar Rao, Director, MNNIT Allahabad highlighted the rapid pace of urbanization and the increasing challenges associated with urban flooding and storm water management. He emphasized the need for sustainable planning, scientific design, regular maintenance, and effective coordination among engineers, planners, administrators, and policymakers for developing resilient urban drainage infrastructure.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Ravi Prakash Tewari, Director, IIHMF, and Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Director, GIMS, in the presence of Dr. Rahul Singh, CEO, Centre for Medical Innovation (CMI-GIMS) and senior officials from both institutions. The partnership aims to establish a collaborative framework for research, innovation, and technology development in healthcare, medical devices, biotechnology, assistive technologies, and allied sectors. The collaboration will facilitate clinical validation, translational research, startup incubation, mentoring support, and commercialization of innovative healthcare solutions.

Ltd. and IFFCO Prayagraj on 5 June 2026 at the Institute Seminar Hall, MNNIT Allahabad. The program commenced with a tree plantation drive inside the institute campus, where dignitaries, faculty members, students, and invited guests actively participated by planting saplings and promoting environmental awareness through practical action. The formal session began with Saraswati Vandana, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and rendition of Vande Mataram.
मोतीलाल नेहरु राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान इलाहाबाद के इलेक्ट्रानिक्स व संचार अभियांत्रिकी विभाग के सहायक प्रो. डाॅ. दीपक पुनेठा की 70 लाख रुपये की शोध परियोजना स्वीकृत की गई है। मंत्रा-टीबी नामक यह परियोजना तपेदिक की प्रारंभिक और त्वरित पहचान के लिए नई तकनीक विकसित करने पर केंद्रित है। परियोजना के तहत एक गैर-आक्रामक, रियल-टाइम और कम लागत वाली श्वसन विश्लेषण प्रणाली विकसित की जाएगी। जो रोगी की सांस में मौजूद जैविक संकेतकों का समझ कर टीबी की शुरुआती अवस्था में पहचान करने में सक्षम होगी। [Amar Ujala 03-06-2026, Page No. 05]
